Michael Hartmann organized together with Giorgi Shuradze and Markus Vodosek a Professional Development Workshop (PDW): How to write your first academic paper. From idea to publication. It was a successful event. Michael Hartmann and Giorgi Shuradze are both PhD students in this DCR Programm.  The workshop was led by eight experienced scholars, namely: Heinz-Theo Wagner; German Graduate School of Management & Law (GGS), Andrew Nelson; University of Oregon, Vern Glaser; University of Alberta, Tyler Earle Wry; The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania , Michael J. Leiblein; The Ohio State University, Ryan Raffaelli; Harvard University, Keld Laursen; Copenhagen Business School, and Markus Vodosek; German Graduate School of Management & Law (GGS). There were 40 participants at the workshop.

Both students are also organize together a a reception called “International Get Together” sponsored by GGS. The International Get Together intended to bring together members and friends of the DCR research group and experienced scholars. The networking events aimed to provide a platform so that participants could broaden their networks. Approximately 70 people attended the reception and it was a good mixture of young researchers and experienced scholars (e.g. Philip Bromely, Marcus Wegener, Günther Stark, Sonja Sackmann, etc.).

Michael Hartmann applied successfully for the Organizational Development and Change (ODC) division’s doctoral consortium where he presented his current research (Voice behavior and the organization of social relationships) and got a individuell feedback.
